2026 21st China Intelligent Transportation Conference
(ITSAC 2026)

The 2026 21st China Intelligent Transportation Conference (ITSAC 2026) is one of the most comprehensive, influential and forward-looking annual industrial events in the intelligent transportation sector in China. Committed to promoting collaborative innovation, exchange and integration, and sound development of intelligent transportation nationwide, the conference attaches great importance to academic exchanges and encourages practitioners in the intelligent transportation field to publish high-quality papers. Papers accepted over the years have reflected current research hotspots and demonstrated future development trends of intelligent transportation technologies.
Papers in both Chinese and English are solicited, focusing on informatization, digitalization and intelligentization in the fields of intelligent driving, smart highways, intelligent railways, smart shipping, smart civil aviation, urban transportation, smart logistics, traffic safety, and integrated three-dimensional transportation.
1.1 Intelligent Driving
Information perception and prediction for intelligent driving; decision-making and control for intelligent driving; end-to-end autonomous driving technology; human-machine interaction and intelligent cockpit; testing, evaluation and certification of intelligent driving; vehicle-to-vehicle/vehicle-to-infrastructure communication and vehicle-infrastructure cooperation; commercial vehicle autonomous driving and intelligent freight transportation, etc.
1.2 Smart Highways
Vehicle-infrastructure-cloud integrated collaborative applications; free-flow tolling systems for highways; intelligent upgrading of highway infrastructure; construction of smart service areas on expressways; highway traffic big data and intelligent perception; intelligent maintenance and condition monitoring of highways; green energy supply for major corridors and heavy-duty truck freight services, etc.
1.3 Intelligent Railways
Intelligent train control and autonomous train operation; intelligent dispatching and transportation coordination; intelligent operation and maintenance and full-life-cycle health management; railway digital twin and digital engineering; intelligent inspection and safety assurance for railways; new-generation railway communication and integrated positioning; intelligent passenger services and multimodal transport for railways; intelligent equipment and dynamic control of high-speed trains; green and intelligent low-carbon operation of railways, etc.
1.4 Smart Shipping
Autonomous formation navigation of ships; intelligent dispatching of ships; shore-ship coordination and intelligent perception of ships; smart ports and unmanned operations; port digital twin and multimodal transport coordination; digitalization of shipping logistics; intelligent monitoring of waterways and navigation safety; green smart shipping and low-carbon operation; shipping big data and intelligent decision-making, etc.
1.5 Smart Civil Aviation
Smart air traffic management; advanced communication, navigation and surveillance technologies; intelligent dispatching and operation control of airlines; intelligent operation and services of airports; intelligent planning of low-altitude airspace; low-altitude logistics; low-altitude safety, etc.
1.6 Urban Transportation
Intelligent detection and diagnosis of transportation infrastructure; traffic control and organization optimization; digital twin of traffic engineering and construction-maintenance coordination; intelligent full-life-cycle management of infrastructure; intelligent urban rail transit and new maglev systems; urban low-altitude transportation; intelligent public transport and smart bus services; shared mobility and Mobility-as-a-Service; smart parking; intelligent non-motorized transportation and travel experience optimization, etc.
1.7 Smart Logistics
Intelligent trunk transportation and multimodal transport; intelligent urban logistics and last-mile delivery; supply chain coordination and visualization; vehicle-infrastructure cooperation and smart freight infrastructure; planning and operation of smart logistics parks; smart logistics platforms and ecological operation; smart warehousing and unmanned operation technologies; unmanned delivery and route optimization; logistics big data and intelligent decision-making optimization; smart monitoring of cold chain and special logistics; integrated development of smart logistics and e-commerce; green logistics and intelligent carbon footprint management; logistics information security, traceability and intelligent supervision, etc.
1.8 Traffic Safety
Traffic accident prediction and traffic safety evaluation; accident cause analysis and risk tracing; traffic behavior identification and safety early warning; traffic safety monitoring and emergency response; safety supervision of intelligent carriers; water and air traffic safety control; resilient transportation and safety risk prevention and control, etc.
1.9 Integrated Three-Dimensional Transportation
Intelligent coordinated operation of integrated transportation networks; construction of air-space-land-sea integrated three-dimensional transportation networks; low-altitude transportation systems (eVTOL/UAM); key technologies of new transportation systems; cross-mode intelligent traffic dispatching; multimodal transport organization optimization; intelligentization of integrated transportation hubs; Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS); integrated transportation big data platforms; intelligent decision-making for integrated transportation; digital twin of integrated transportation; intelligent full-life-cycle management of integrated transportation; resilience assessment of integrated transportation networks; low-carbon transformation paths of integrated transportation, etc.
2.1 Submission Requirements
Only unpublished papers in Chinese and English are accepted. Papers must be authentic and original, with no substantial overlap with published papers or papers submitted to other journals or conferences under review. Chinese and English papers shall be prepared in accordance with the submission formats (Appendices 1 and 2). Papers failing the format review will not be reviewed or accepted.
2.2 Deadline and Submission Method
The deadline for paper submission is August 30, 2026.
Online submission is adopted via: www.itsac.org.cn/submit. Please submit papers in accordance with the requirements in the appendices. An SMS notification will be sent immediately upon submission. Please contact the Association for confirmation if no reply is received within one day.
3.1 Acceptance Criteria
Submitted papers will go through plagiarism check, followed by peer review to determine acceptance. Acceptance notices will be sent via SMS by October 30, 2026, and authors may log in to the system to obtain them.
English Papers Accepted English papers will be fully included in the conference proceedings, published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE, ISSN: 1876-1100, EI-Compendex), and indexed by the EI Compendex database. Selected papers will be recommended to core journals such as Communications in Transportation Research (Appendix 3).
Chinese Papers Accepted Chinese papers will be fully included in the Academic Proceedings of the 2026 21st China Intelligent Transportation Conference, and indexed by CNKI and Wanfang Data. Selected papers will be recommended to core journals such as Journal of Transportation Systems Engineering and Information Technology (Appendix 3).
3.2 Author Rights and Benefits
ITSAC China Intelligent Transportation Conference Authors of accepted papers may register for the China Intelligent Transportation Conference of the year with the acceptance notice and enjoy exclusive discounts for paper authors.
Academic Exchange During ITSAC 2026, accepted papers will be selected for poster presentation, and authors may be invited to give presentations at the Intelligent Transportation Academic Forum.
Scientific and Technological Talents Papers accepted by the China Intelligent Transportation Conference may serve as important supporting materials for applications in various scientific and technological talent activities organized by the Association.
Authors are responsible for their papers, which shall not violate national laws, regulations and ethical norms.
The Association reserves the right to revise submitted papers; please declare in advance if there are special requirements.
Authors shall not infringe upon others’ copyright in any form, and shall bear sole responsibility for any disputes arising from infringement.
The Association will conduct plagiarism checks on all submitted papers; papers with excessive similarity rate or AI-generated rate will be rejected.
Generative AI tools may only be used for auxiliary research in paper submission, including language polishing, literature retrieval, data sorting and analysis, and idea development. Authors shall be responsible for the use of generative AI in their papers and bear corresponding legal and ethical liabilities.
Various funded projects and award-winning projects shall be indicated in footnotes when submitting papers, with project numbers in parentheses.
